DERON WILLIAMS PASSES TONY PARKER ON THE DEPTH CHART

I will resist making any Eva Longoria comments because they're so strikingly obvious.  Of course the next thing I'll say is that she could eat crackers in my bed.  After tonight's game she might be eating crackers in Deron William's bed.  DW posted yet another 10+ assist game and regularly outplayed Parker on both ends of the floor.

I know the announcers kept referring to Tony Parker's "bone spurs" but watching this game I couldn't help wonder if all the hooplah around Eva, their wedding, and having her around has hurt his game.  He's still lightning quick but he still can't bury the perimeter 3 except for in the corners.  Watching a nearly-as-quick Deron Williams outmuscle him and get edge after edge on him also made me wonder if Parker couldn't spend more time in the weight room.  After all, Eva does outweigh the guy by a couple of boobs and a daytime Emmy.  Shooting is about feel, but it's also about hard-work and repetition—just ask Steve Nash.

All of this just shows how ridiculous the West has become.  A quick list of point guards features (in no particular order) Chris Paul, Baron Davis, Tony Parker, Brandon Roy, Devin Harris, Steve Nash, Allen Iverson, and the aforementioned former Fighting Illini standout.  Alongside Carlos Boozer these 2 have the best pick-and-roll game since another pair of Utah Jazz players.

I'll say that I'd take the 2008 version over the 90's version any day.
